PREP ROUNDUP - Dux lose in soccer

Parker Bussies scored one goal and had one assist for the Zeeland West boys soccer team in a 3-2 loss at Grand Rapids West Catholic.

Tyler McKellar had the other goal for the Dux (0-1).

GIRLS GOLF

Panthers place fifth: West Ottawa shot a fifth-place total of 419 at the O-K Red preseason tournament at The Meadows. Grand Haven (368) won.

Kyleigh Karas led the Panthers with a 99. West Ottawa also received scores from Lacy VandeBunte (105), Shannon Sotok (107) and Katelyn Doran (108).

Grand Rapids Catholic Central 204, Zeeland West 221: Sarah Craycraft carded a 6-over-par 40 at Centennial Country Club to lead the Dux in the nonleague loss.

Jessica Klingenberg shot a 51 for Zeeland West while Sarai Ramos added a 57.
