The Zee Bus will run from June 9 to August 7 this year. This will be the fifth summer of the bus, which serves as a rolling library for all children living within our 94-square-mile Zeeland school district. The bus and its volunteers travel through the district Mondays through Thursdays, making stops at a total of 16 locations. All children are invited to an end-of-the-year party hosted by Roosevelt Elementary on Friday, August 8, from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

This program is geared especially for our young patrons (18 months to 3 years) and their
caregivers. Each week, we will enjoy a book, craft and various age-appropriate activities,
all involving a central theme. Registration is required as each class is limited to 10
children and their caregivers. There will be a registration fee of $9.00 that will be

Join Mrs. P. as we discuss the The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke. Vitale’s will be
donating pizza for our lunch! On this particular day, follow up this discussion with a
showing of The Thief Lord on the big screen (from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.). This promises to
be a great day, so register as soon as you can! There is a limit of 12 teens for the
discussion. Also, remember this -- by reading this book, you have earned minutes toward
your goal AND by participating in the book discussion you have earned two tickets
toward the basket drawings!

Each week, we will be showing a movie geared toward our teen patrons (Entomologists).
Free popcorn will be on hand. Soda may be bought at $1.00 a can or you can bring your
own beverage. The movies will begin at 2:00, and adults are welcome to attend. Other
arrangements should be made for any child under the age of 11.

It’s back! We’re looking for the cutest, smartest, most talented pets in Zeeland! Preregistration
is required if you would like to bring your pet. Registration will begin
Mon., July 7 in the Youth Dept and will end Mon., July 28. Rain date for the Pet Show
is July 31. Even if you don’t have a pet, be sure to come down to cheer them all on!
Children should be accompanied by an adult.

The Chick-Owa Sportsman's Club will be hosting an Action Pistol Shoot from 6:00pm until 8:00pm this evening.

Action Pistol Shoots are for those who would like to have a little fun and learn some things as well. Most of the participants will be individuals who are looking for some way to practice defensive shooting in a safe environment, but you don't have to be. You think that kids these days have fun with airrsoft and paintball guns? You should give this type of shooting a try. This is for adults only; you must be 18yrs of age to possess a handgun in the State of Michigan.
