provide our families with a special time of learning and connecting with other parents and

Kathie Spitzley, local herb enthusiast, will lead a hands-on demonstration exploring recipes and techniques in how to use herbs fresh from the garden. Attendees will also learn techniques in drying herbs and other ways to preserve their flavor and fragrance, making them usable all year long. Participants will be given the opportunity to help make simple recipes, and will be provided with the chance to sample a variety of dishes. Kathie is a Master Gardener and a long-time member of the Midwest Michigan Herb Association.

gardening, bugs, and the general outdoors. Adults are welcome to attend or may wait
outside the preschool storyroom area. Adults must stay in the youth area during the
program in case they are needed to help their child. Please note that there will be no
preschool storytimes on the following dates due to special programs or a holiday: June

shirt, a pair of shocks, apron, canvas book bag or other plain item to transform into a
wearable work of art. All paint supplies will be provided. Please note: all children ages

Join Mrs. P. as we discuss the The Ultimate Gift by Jim Stovall. Vitale’s Pizza is
sponsoring our discussions this summer and will be providing us with free pizza for lunch

screen. This promises to be a great day so register as soon as you can! Limit of 12 teens
for this discussion. Also, remember this -- by reading this book, you will have earned
minutes toward your goal AND by participating in the discussion you will have earned
two tickets toward the basket drawings!

Every Friday, Mrs. P. will meet kids 3 – 5 years old in the preschool storyroom for a
wonderful time of stories, games, activities and crafts. This summer, our theme will be
gardening, bugs, and the general outdoors. Adults are welcome to attend or may wait
outside the preschool storyroom area. Adults must stay in the youth area during the
program in case they are needed to help their child. Please note that there will be no
preschool storytimes on the following dates due to special programs or a holiday: June
20, July 4, and July 18.
