A friend of mine, close to many of my friends hearts just lost his life on May 7. LaMott Smith, aspiring to be a teacher, was lost to his family and friends of Central Michigan University of meninococcol meningitis. LaMott is the second of one of my friends in a sport studies class to have passed within the last year. Josh Overton was lost to us and LaMott was a member of the Phi Sigma Phi social fraternity that many of my close friends were members of at CMU and I know they will greatly miss him.
