Outdoor Celebration satisfies

The Chick-Owa Outdoor Celebration satisfied its participants.

   Many who attended came out for the shooting activities. Participants were able to shoot many different firearms including Rifles, Pistols, Shotguns, and Black Powder. Because there was so much interest in the shooting activities, many missed out on the workshops on Duck and Goose Hunting and Trapping.    If you missed out on the Outdoor Celebration, but you really would've liked to learn a few tips and tricks on Duck & Goose Calling and Hunting, Joe DeWeerd of Cut 'em Close Duck & Goose Hunting will be on The Outdoor Show this Saturday morning from 7 to 8am. Erv DeWeerd will most likely be on The Outdoor Show later in the season to cover Trapping.    Many participants showed up for the Falconry Presentation and the Pig Roast which was enjoyed by all. Falconshire Raptors brought two falcons and a Harris Hawk for the presentation. Everyone was pleased to have the opportunity to get up close with these Birds of Prey.    After filling their bellies with Roasted Pig, participants enjoyed shooting Five Stand. Five Stand is defined as Sporting Clays from a Trap Line.
