Have FunLast week, I watched a group of guys playing the 7th hole at the course, and after hitting 2 balls in a row into the pond, one of them got very upset, threw his club, and eventually walked off the course after the 7th hole. Seeing that reminded me of something I was told about playing golf....Have Fun. It sounds simple, but I think a lot of people take the game too seriously and get upset at themselves, their group, and at times even the course for shooting a bad score. It's good to remember that we are out playing golf to relax, spend some time outside, get a little excercise, and yes...even have some fun. The next time you feel yourself getting upset, before you throw your club, curse at your golfing partner, or start taking divots out of the next tee (or green)....take a minute and look around at the trees, the birds, the fish in the pond, or the friends you are playing with and remember that you are out there trying to relax, forget about your problems for a couple of hours, and have some fun. You'll be surprised at how staying calm and staying focussed on having a good time will actually help your score not to mention increase your enjoyment of the day. See you on the course....
