Golf Season is Finally HereIt looks like the golf season is finally here...time to take the clubs and hopefully your "tuned up" short game to the course. Most of the local courses are a great bargain for the next few weeks with Spring Rates.....ours at The Pheasant is only $8 but make sure you call the course you are planning on playing ahead of time, some of them do not honor Spring rates on weekends. Wherever you decide to go, with the sun out until well past 8:00 and temperatures in the 60's, it's hard to beat Spring Golf in Michigan. Here is my tip for the week. Keep your head down and still for a full 2 seconds after you putt. I know it seems simple and a basic fundamental of golf, but try it yourself....you'll be shocked at how quickly you normally pick up your head after you hit a putt. If you miss a lot of putts to the right (or left for left handers) it is normally due to coming up and out of the putt prior to the blade of the club releasing through the shot. If you make the effort to stay down a full 2 seconds after impact, you'll increase your accuracy (assuming you read the break and speed of the putt correctly). Give it a try....you might be surprised. See you at The Pheasant Related:
