A family picnic celebrated the 70 years of marriage of Carl and Faith Frens of Zeeland.
They were married June 27, 1939. Mrs. Frens is the former Faith Hendricks.
Their children are Douglas Frens of Grand Rapids, Jim and Karen Wedeven of Jenison, Rodney and Wanda Frens of Zeeland, and James and Kaleen Schaap of Zeeland. They have three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
